Farm Tours

Come on out to the farm and meet our amazing cast of characters!

Bring the family and enjoy feeding some crazy critters and learning more about them. You'll meet Ham and Bacon the summer pigs, TrainWreck the crooked-nosed cow, and Chicken Jane the wandering hen. You can also walk a llama through the obstacle course and try your hand at wet-felting. After the tour, bring a lunch or snack to enjoy in our picnic area where you can relax and enjoy the antique tractors (hands-on!!) and farm games. And don't forget to stop by the Fiber Shop and pick up a felting kit or fiber art momento! (Click here for a free gift when you visit the Fiber Shop!)

Cost:  $10/person (4 person minimum)

School groups, scout troops, Senior Citizen organizations and visitors of all ages are welcome!  You and your group will rotate through a series of exciting workshop stations:

  • Animals –   feed the goats and pigs, learn about sheep and horses, gather eggs from the hens
  • Gardening – learn about composting and plant your own seeds
  • Llamas – take a turn walking a llama along the Story Walk Trail
  • Felting – make a felted bouncing ball with beautiful dyed fiber

After the workshops enjoy some free time in the picnic and play area where you may bring your lunch, climb on antique tractors and play farm games.  Also plan on a stop at our gift table with specially priced field trip mementos.
